Leveling in Fortnite has remained a cyclical task for the entirety of the game's release until recently. Each season, players would be able to continue leveling up to a certain point, and then it would no longer impact gameplay or rewards in any functional manner. In many of the newer Fortnite seasons, rewards in the game's Battle Pass have stopped at level 200, but players would still be able to accumulate XP and hit a cap of 1,001. Some players would challenge themselves to hit the maximum level during some seasons, but an update could make that progress vanish. It seems like this will no longer be the case going forward.
